There is a growing menace sweeping this land. The current generation of civil engineers, who we shall curse for generations to come, have become completely enamored of a traffic control device known as the traffic circle. Our English cousins have long suffered these under the moniker of “the roundabout”. These are the same peoples who gave us the Spice Girls and One Direction : they deserve this scourge.
The first thing that should impress on one at the approach to a traffic circle is that it appears to be a condition of the road which calls for some considerable measure of trust. With each passing day we become a society that is less and less trusting, not more. There are only a few places where this is more true than on our streets. I don’t see this ending well.
But hey! What the hell do I know? What do you think?
I hate em. Yield isn’t in most people’s vocabulary.

Ain’t it the truth brother! In fact, it seems that these infernal things are concentrated in those communities with the very worst of drivers. Is it possible these things are developed as a Prius trap of some kind?

It seems worse up north, but they’re getting very popular here, too. Hahaha– a Prius trap is always possible. 😀
